परीक्षा के अंक छोड़िए और सीखने पर जोर दीजिए।
Marks chodhiye aur seekhne par zor dijiye.
Don’t focus on the marks, focus on real learning.
Bournvita showed us that change can be an opportunity to improve and innovate.
Real learning is not about memorizing facts and figures in a classroom, but about understanding the concepts and applying them in real life. Real learning is not about following the crowd, but about exploring, questioning, and experimenting. Real learning is not about being complacent, but about being curious and adaptable.
Change is inevitable, and sometimes it can be hard to accept. We may feel comfortable with the way things are and resist the need to adapt to new situations. But if we want to grow and succeed, we have to embrace change and learn from it.
Take the example of Bournvita, one of the oldest and most popular brands in the malted beverages segment. Bournvita by Cadbury, a subsidiary of Mondelēz International was launched in 1948 and marketed as a health drink that provides nutrition and energy for children. For decades, it enjoyed a loyal customer base and a strong reputation.
But times changed, and so did the expectations and preferences of the consumers. In April 2023, a social media influencer called out Bournvita for having high sugar content and questioned its claim of being a health drink. This sparked a debate and a backlash among the public, who demanded more transparency and accountability from the brand.
Bournvita did not shy away from the challenge. Instead, it took the feedback seriously and decided to change its product formulation. 8 months after the controversy, it reduced the sugar content by 14.4%. It also changed its packaging and communication to reflect its new positioning as a wholesome and balanced drink.
So, let’s learn from Bournvita and embrace change with a learning mindset. Let’s not be afraid to try new things, learn new skills, rethink our learning spaces, and discover new possibilities. We must question our current assumptions for learning in a classroom and listen to what students want and expect from their educational environments.
Exploring pedagogical research and understanding human behavior can be crucial in our quest for better learning environments. By delving deep into these areas, we can uncover valuable insights that can help us create more effective and engaging educational experiences.
Let’s not settle for the status quo, but strive for excellence and innovation in our lessons, teaching methods, classroom designs, corridors, and school open spaces. Let’s shift our focus from marks to creating environments that foster real learning and rekindle students’ passion for education once again.
Who do you think the most successful people are? Those who earn good marks, or those who are more passionate about their work? It’s high time to support this kind of learning.
